Robi Reed-Humes is an Emmy Award winning Casting Director who was born in Mount Vernon, New York and raised in Los Angeles, California.
In 1996, she won Outstanding Casting in a Drama for 'The Tuskegee Airmen'. In 1998, Robi was nominated for 'Don King: Only In America'. Robi is the catalyst that has launched a multitude of careers including Jim Carrey, Halle Berry, and Wesley Snipes. Robi has cast every Spike Lee film from his 1987 release 'School Daze,' to the 1995 release 'Clockers.' She works with many of Hollywood's brightest stars including Vanessa Williams, Eddie Murphy, Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Richard Pryor, Danny DeVito, Tupac Shakur, and Denzel Washington. She cast 'The Best Man,' which was number one at the box office.
Her casting expertise has been a major contributor to the success of over 30 films, including eight with director Spike Lee.
